Baptism

May 10, 2009 was a very special day. Ben and Tracy brought Anna Tyler to God. All of us are so very grateful to Him for this precious gift....indeed, a miracle. She looked like a little angel in her beautiful gown and I believe she was well aware of her surroundings. There were many happy tears and heartfelt praises for this special opportunity...to simply tell God, "Thank you."

Lyle took her and blessed her. She listened.

Ben and Tracy are wonderful parents and I know that Anna Tyler will be raised knowing she is a child of God.

Almost everybody was able to attend the service.

After the service, Doug and Linda Andrews opened their home for a special celebration lunch. Many family members and church family attended. Anna Tyler received many nice gifts and Taziki's catered the occasion. It was a fun and very special day.

We have been given a treasure and my prayer is that she will always know she is just that. I also pray that God will continue to bless her and her Mommy and Daddy as they seek and follow Him.

Beach Trip

Friday morning, May 1, Claude, Audrey and I set out for a trip to Orange Beach. Ben, Tracy, and Anna Tyler were already there. We stayed at Harbor Place Condos...very nice and roomy.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous the whole weekend and some good times were spent on the beach. The water was a bit too cool to swim in and the man of war were quite plentiful.

Anna Tyler loved it! She didn't mind the sand and we kept her well shaded while there. She was the best little thing and happy..happy..happy!

She was not camera shy at all. In fact, it seemed as though we were constantly snapping pics. By Saturday evening we had added that between Ben and Tracy and us, we had made well over 800 pictures. YIKES!!

What fun it was for me to have my family together. We laughed, some played golf, had some really good seafood, and just hung out. I am so very blessed.

Easter

Easter is a miracle. As we see everything come to life, we are reminded that Jesus' resurrection gives all of us new life. We spent our Easter this year at Church at Cahaba Bend. The message was delivered with love, the music was wonderful and inspiring, and I was surrounded by my family. God is good.

Miss Anna Tyler was absolutely precious adorned in her Easter frock. She seemed to enjoy the music and almost "out sang" the Praise Band. Rather than be a distraction, Tracy quietly stepped out with her. She is such a good baby.

After church, we took advantage of the glorious weather we were given for the day and took a lot of pictures. About 80 shots later, we made our way to the traditional Easter meal...Mexican. Kinda like the traditional Christmas Eve meal...Chinese.

It was a wonderful day. We are truly blessed.

Pretty in Pink

What fun we had at my mother and daddy's Sunday, February 8, 2009. We consolidated three birthdays, Ben's, Mandy's, and mine, into one big dinner.

Anna Tyler was there in all her glory. After awaking from a nap she took after church, she was happy and taking it all in. She is such a delight and everyone "oohed and ahhed" over her. She enjoyed sitting in the swing with Granny Rose and Paw Paw and she even caught a glimpse of one of the bubbles being blown. She and Lauren shared "cousin time" on the wooden bench in the backyard.

At 5 1/2 months she's quite a healthy little girl! She is such a joy. God has truly blessed us.

The Hustle and Bustle of Christmas

Christmas Eve was shared at Church at Cahaba Bend. The many blessings of family and friends are truly brought to light especially at Chrismas time. This was my first Christmas as a Grandmother which made it all the more special.

Christmas breakfast was wonderful. Tracy and Ben prepared a delicious meal which all of us enjoyed to the fullest. There was the normal opening of gifts and Anna Tyler received an abundance of those. Even though she probably didn't realize all the excitement around her, she did seem to really like the Lady Bug book she got.

It was a group effort to prepare for the next leg of the day...lunch at Granny Rose's. Tisah folded away some of Anna Tyler's laundry, PaPa helped peel Hershey Kisses for a dish to take to Tracy's Grandmother's later, Tracy and Ben were busy preparing food and goodies, and Auntie Red helped out with Anna Tyler by keeping her happy and finally, napping.

Granny Rose's was fun with all the family. We enjoyed each other but especially enjoyed Lauren and Anna Tyler. Children have a way of placing a unique feeling on Christmas Day.

The Saturday after Christmas has become a Williams Family tradition to spend at the farm in Holly Pond. We always enjoy this day. We eat...not traditional Christmas food...hamburger, bar-b-que, and all the trimmings that go along with those. All those who choose to do some horseback riding and skeet shooting participate in those activities. This was Anna Tyler's first year at the farm and her day was spent indoors enjoying her family and especially her cousin Daniel. We look forward to many more farm days.

We are so very thankful for all that we have been given.
