Birthday Girl

I just don't know where the year has gone. Our precious Anna Tyler was a year old August 26, 2009. She had two celebrations, one at Granny and PawPaw's and the other at Doug and Diane Jackson's. She's been a busy little girl lately.

You can see she is such a happy little girl, full of life and laughs.

She enjoys being able to walk and run. We are so proud of her...she's been walking since she was 11 months old and hasn't slowed down much at all.

Many people think she looks like her Auntie Red and in this picture you can tell that she does.

She loved the party at the Jackson's. She was the center of attention and the life of the party.

Tracy made two cakes. The one here is her own personal cake that, as you can see, she really enjoyed. We were all laughing right with her as she ate and wore the cake.

One-year-old...you just can't blink your eyes. She is truly a gift and we all treasure and cherish her with all our hearts.

Bishop Picnic

Anna Tyler made her debut at her first Bishop Picnic in June in Pleasant Grove. Almost all of her Bishop relatives were there and they oohhed and aahhed over her. She enjoyed her lunch on a quilt under the shade trees.

She really enjoyed the swinging. Holding on tight and using her tongue for balance it didn't take her long the get the hang of it.

Bubble blowing with her cousin Lauren was fun. She was so cute when she closed her eyes in anticipation of a bubble coming near her face and popping.

Her Papa and cousin Lauren played with her.

Anna Tyler loves her feet. She's showing them off for everybody. This was also the initiation of her new colorful stroller which she loves.

Four generations...PawPaw, Tisah, Daddy, and Anna Tyler. It was a wonderful day. Family is so very special and a blessing from God.

Harvard Cookout

Anna Tyler went to her first Harvard Cookout in May. She was introduced to a lot of people for the first time. She had a fun time and explored and discovered new things. She played with the windchimes and touched some pretty flowers. It was a great day.

Teresa Conville made this picture of Anna Tyler and her Tisah. It looks like we have the exact same expression on our faces. You can tell we were having fun.

Anna Tyler met a new friend.

She liked the flowers.

Always the happy baby. If you look closely you can see her two bottom teeth.

Anna Tyler and her Papa both have full bellies and are taking in the nice cool evening. Maybe next time she will be able to have a rib.

She ended the night before going home with a little pole dance. We all laughed at this.

Baptism

May 10, 2009 was a very special day. Ben and Tracy brought Anna Tyler to God. All of us are so very grateful to Him for this precious gift....indeed, a miracle. She looked like a little angel in her beautiful gown and I believe she was well aware of her surroundings. There were many happy tears and heartfelt praises for this special opportunity...to simply tell God, "Thank you."

Lyle took her and blessed her. She listened.

Ben and Tracy are wonderful parents and I know that Anna Tyler will be raised knowing she is a child of God.

Almost everybody was able to attend the service.

After the service, Doug and Linda Andrews opened their home for a special celebration lunch. Many family members and church family attended. Anna Tyler received many nice gifts and Taziki's catered the occasion. It was a fun and very special day.

We have been given a treasure and my prayer is that she will always know she is just that. I also pray that God will continue to bless her and her Mommy and Daddy as they seek and follow Him.

Beach Trip

Friday morning, May 1, Claude, Audrey and I set out for a trip to Orange Beach. Ben, Tracy, and Anna Tyler were already there. We stayed at Harbor Place Condos...very nice and roomy.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous the whole weekend and some good times were spent on the beach. The water was a bit too cool to swim in and the man of war were quite plentiful.

Anna Tyler loved it! She didn't mind the sand and we kept her well shaded while there. She was the best little thing and happy..happy..happy!

She was not camera shy at all. In fact, it seemed as though we were constantly snapping pics. By Saturday evening we had added that between Ben and Tracy and us, we had made well over 800 pictures. YIKES!!

What fun it was for me to have my family together. We laughed, some played golf, had some really good seafood, and just hung out. I am so very blessed.
