The Hustle and Bustle of Christmas

Christmas Eve was shared at Church at Cahaba Bend. The many blessings of family and friends are truly brought to light especially at Chrismas time. This was my first Christmas as a Grandmother which made it all the more special.

Christmas breakfast was wonderful. Tracy and Ben prepared a delicious meal which all of us enjoyed to the fullest. There was the normal opening of gifts and Anna Tyler received an abundance of those. Even though she probably didn't realize all the excitement around her, she did seem to really like the Lady Bug book she got.

It was a group effort to prepare for the next leg of the day...lunch at Granny Rose's. Tisah folded away some of Anna Tyler's laundry, PaPa helped peel Hershey Kisses for a dish to take to Tracy's Grandmother's later, Tracy and Ben were busy preparing food and goodies, and Auntie Red helped out with Anna Tyler by keeping her happy and finally, napping.

Granny Rose's was fun with all the family. We enjoyed each other but especially enjoyed Lauren and Anna Tyler. Children have a way of placing a unique feeling on Christmas Day.

The Saturday after Christmas has become a Williams Family tradition to spend at the farm in Holly Pond. We always enjoy this day. We eat...not traditional Christmas food...hamburger, bar-b-que, and all the trimmings that go along with those. All those who choose to do some horseback riding and skeet shooting participate in those activities. This was Anna Tyler's first year at the farm and her day was spent indoors enjoying her family and especially her cousin Daniel. We look forward to many more farm days.

We are so very thankful for all that we have been given.
